ok i finally saw what pizza tower is about. me do want?

not sure if any of yall have fucked much with Berried Alive, but ive been loving their shit a lot lately, especially their latest album. love the hiphop beats, pop production, and guitar shredding mixed all up.

The wait for The Shadow of the Erdtree continues...

Hey Alphadeus, or should i say, top god? best of Birthing days to you. I've enjoyed your music over the years, and i hope this year brings much fortune to you and your SO. much fortune!

Happy Saturday yall. keeps feeling like sunday cuz i took off friday. what a glorious hell to live in:) I have another day off tomorrow! Drag Brunch based on Lady Gaga's Art Pop album, several queens/kings performing to the whole album, can't wait.

spent most of last evening today working on just the one on the right, getting the proper proportions took a moment finding proper references, check the comments for an alt color scheme and the composite i made

thinking about tiny cars on a grid got me inspired to draw for once. i dont usually draw cars.

Feeling much better now. Wifey got us some beer, and dang it's friggin tasty. Do recommend

anger and frustration are very tiring emotions. angry and frustrated at my office flooding twice, yesterday and today in the morning, due to waht was thought to be a leaky spigot, but miht be a crack in the floor outside. hopefully we can avoid mold.

any good turn-based tactics (on a grid, of course) games where your objective is taking turns doing something other than killing dudes strategically? maybe your characters are trying to win a race? trying to gobble up food? playing hide-and-seek or tag?

some shit went down this weekend regarding my brother in law, who passed in December. Apparently the family member trusted to look into getting rid of or selling his belongings "plum forgot" until she had to be reminded this past friday. communicate! jfc

On march 3rd, 2023, i punched god to death, and finally became the Elden Lord. Occult Caestus +25. My Mimic died partway thru 2nd phase. time for a break? eh.......dunnoboutthatjustyet

skateboarding makes absolute sense to me. fingerboarding completely eludes me. how do they do those tricks?!?!

What are some graphical interpretations yall were fascinated by? me, i'd been obsessed with the use of vertex shading to depict grass and fur since DKC2, but i find it interesting how they've been used less lately, with how powerful gpu's have become.

Bout fucking time (Elden Ring dlc). Am pumped. Almost beating this game, should I do the dlc and then become Elden Lord, become Elden Lord and beat the dlc in ng+ (hurt me ranni) or do I reroll with new characters and take on the game again! (Ugh)

Saw Umma, do recommend, interesting to learn a bit about korean folklore surrounding death, but holy shit, its definitely the "Trauma boogeymonster" type of horror. good, tho. Writing, acting, editing, framing. Very well put together film.

Help me, i started another Dark Souls character. Also, i did NOT know, all these years, that you can jump down from that little bridge to get the Blue Tearstone Ring in da 'burg. Sure the Black knight is there, but i didnt have to get past him this time

Please tell me some of yall have heard of Old Man Saxon. He's my favorite new rapper, and possibly, ever. His word-play, humor, and even vulnerability, have elevated him higher than even Del, imo.

Completely missed the Super Bowl, went grocery shopping instead, seemed like a good time to do it and it was. Starting this Feb with some meal planning with my wife, let's hope we can stick to it!

All fighting games should have a single player VN romancing story mode

Having been burnt out on open world games b/c of Elden Ring (yet not burnt out on Elden Ring), i cannot even fathom enjoying Tears of the Kingdom anytime soon, it was the thing i was least excited about in the Direct. Wario Land 3 tho...

But for real, Nintendo delivered with that Direct yesterday. And I'm still thinking about Metroid Prime.

Nintendo Hot Take: Metroid Prime did not feel good as a shooter. It did a lot right imo, but the shooting aspect, after seeing the remster trailer today, reminded me that the shooting felt like lethal spitballs: yea, they kill things, but wheres the oomph

I love it when I fart and it travels up my cheeks. Feels Like a ghost hotdogging my butt

Things seem like shit and then a beacon of light hits you. Les Claypool and his Frog Brigade are touring this summer, and when they stop by ATL, they'll be touring with Adrian fucking Belew. Holy shit I am excite

Y'all are making me want a steam deck.

Fuck Brian Kemp. Fuck Cop City. This shit is terrible and fucking depressing me worse than my step brother's death. Like, everything surrounding Cop City, a project of at least $60 Million, just feels so unstoppable.

With MS (trying to) buying ActiBlizz, the only way this deal might pass thru is if after the merger, COD is divested from them and made its own thing. Maybe. Just #mytwoasspennies

About cockaroachone of us since 5:06 PM on 10.15.2009

My favorite games meld music, art, and gameplay to enhance one another, elevating the product to something beyond mere "consumption"; it's an experience. Not everyone will like them, but they do gain a passionate following. Sorry if anything I said sounded pretentious, I am trying to be sincere. I love music and art, I've dabble in both for over 20 years now, so I appreciate games that put love into their art assets, animations, character design, level design, music, sound design, storytelling, and voice acting, even if the gameplay is simplistic (as long as it's fun!). These games also tend to feel nice- the control has a certain snap to it, enhanced by the visual and audio cues. This list may be biased towards my adolescence and childhood favorites from the SNES and N64/PSX days, so bare with me: you will see a lot of retro favorites. If your favorite is not on the list, it's probably because i didn't play it as a child/adolescent, or as an adult, for that matter.

In a somewhat random order:
Chrono Trigger
Super Smash Bros Melee
World of Warcraft (Classic/Vanilla)
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Dark Souls
Demon's Souls
Banjo Kazooie
Katamari Damacy
Shadows of the Colossus
Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Meat Boy
Donkey Kong Country
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Human Fall Flat
World of Horror
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
Super Mario Odyssey
Metal Slug 3
Tokyo Jungle (an odd one, for sure, but i love it so)
