Cave Story - Error Machine Podcast Retrospective
A while back, my fellow podcaster Lucas and I started a thing where every fifth episode would be a retrospective. We mainly just used it as an excuse to talk about Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for an entire episode, but then we loved the idea so much that we kept it up. We've covered Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 2, the original Mega Man trilogy, the Sega Channel, Earthbound, and now, the original indy darling, Cave Story.
We all love Cave Story. Well, except me, I think the game is just slightly above average, but we get into why I feel that way during the podcast. Luke, however, thinks it's one of the best videogames ever made. Usually we just spend an hour + lavishing praise upon whatever game we've chosen, and while there's still plenty of that, it was a nice change of pace to have a game that we disagreed on.
I know Cave Story is a much-beloved game among the community, and I think you guys may enjoy checking out the episode.
