Featuring Final Fantasy VI and mostly classic music.
Greetings fellow game music lovers,
continuing with Final Fantasy VIs (1994) Dancing Mad, this time it is the turn of the purgatorio section. I can present less samples for this one this time around but still decided to bring it so we can have a certain sense of completeness in the end:
Such high-high-low-high high-low-high rhythms can be found all over classical music, usually for parade music. Some examples:
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - "Russian Easter Festival Overture, Op. 36" (1888):
Mozart - "Sechs Deutsche Tänze, K. 509":
For the part at 6:09, I can offer something stylistically comparable from the works of Mozart:
Mozart - "Prelude and Fugue in C for Keyboard, K. 394":
I think the section may be influenced by symphonic prog, but I'll restrain myself from a verdict until I get further proof.
Next week comes Paradiso.
Phil out.
