[NVGR] It Is By Will Alone I Set My Thoughts In Motion...
I'm a big fan of Frank Herbert's Dune novels, so the recent confirmation of the rumored new feature film version of Dune directed by Peter Berg has me cautiously optimistic. While I enjoyed David Lynch's previous take and the SciFi Channel's miniseries adaptations, I felt neither has really done the novel justice. I'd love for this to not only meet my expectations but be the first in an epic trilogy covering Dune, Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune. I'm not going to hold my breath on this movie being as awesome as I want it to be, but I'll probably still be there opening night.
If you're bored and don't mind dealing with an epic wall of text here's an interesting yet insane synopsis of the aborted Alejandro Jodorowsky attempt to adapt the novel. If nothing else, it would have been a great flick to watch while on lots of acid.
So my question to you, who would your dream Dune cast be for this upcoming film?
