Some dude made gameplay videos of our beta Demo, and he beat it without any instructions! This is awesome :D (By the way, we added the much needed checkpoint before that cruel fire pit part).

Is it bad that I use my switch only to play Binding of Isaac? Can't get enough of that damn game, played it twice as much hours as Zelda and I'm not stopping anytime soon.

Just wanted to share the work of my pal, @Omegachainoboy (that's his twitter)! He's making some sprite upgrades to retro stuff. He's also the main artist on our game! :D

After that article about the possibility of a live-action megaman movie, I remembered my take on Megaman's redesign for the horrid cartoon announcement from last year.

I made this for another small art jam, dedicated to Link. Of course, he has to be really angry otherwise I'd refuse to draw anything.

To continue with the drawings, I also made this apocalyptic brutal alien/undead struggle thing for our game! Look how amused that zombie is.

Some months ago some FB artist threw a "remake an old VG cover" jam, here's the cover I got and my version. It was a really interesting exercise!

Here's an old drawing I made about certain failure of a spiritual successor. Sorry for reminding you of that.

After much pain, we finally have a public demo to share! Windows 64bits, and you'll need a controller. If you want to try it, let me know! (I'd rather avoid posting the link and feel like a spambot this time!).

Left eye is fine again, time to go back to coffee♥

My left eye is twitching and I think it's because of too much coffee. Gotta return to Tea for a couple days. [I hate this text editor]

North Korea fired a missile over Japan one week after I left the country. I was too fast for them it seems.

Zombies, metal Endoskeletons, alien Things, Mutant Dogs, Cyber Doors. This is the kind of Sci-Fi that inspires us!

Making death animations has been one of the most fun parts of development so far!

Dive kicks, Parry, dash, wall slide. We've tried to give our character our favorite abilities from our favorite games! :D The beta demo should be out this very week. Please look forward to it and share it with your retro-2d-sidescroller-lover friends!

If you missed it before, here's the latest gameplay trailer for our game! Violent retro action, inspired directly by Megaman X, Castlevania, Street Fighter, and some classic rad 80's movies.

A simple tileset for the Virtual Dojo stage. We'll include a training mode so you can test out your Combos and super moves!

We've been slowing down progress on our demo thanks to good old paperwork bureaucracy issues, but let's hope we can have a beta demo soon enough. We really need to start getting some funding after that!

This will probably be the basic moveset to start our game! Should be enough to battle mutant zombies, robots and aliens I guess.

James Chen tried our game and he really liked it!!! This is fucking awesome :D

Limitless action! Crushing attacks! Enemy devastation! Mutant pets! Check out our new Gameplay trailer for LVL99: AxeRage, and prepare to brutalize your way out from all apocalypses! ;)

Charging animation! Our character will charge up to 3 levels, for a forward dash attack. Higher level deals more damage and covers longer distances, for those tricky jumps.

Let's pour one for Master George Romero, who inspired many great brutal movies and games. Let many zombies be slain in his name.

Another one for #screenshotsaturday ! here's Blaster, one of the mutant pets that will help Cheins overcome at least two or three apocalypses ;)

It's #screenshotsaturday so I hope you don't mind me uploading some gameplay shots! Here's Cheins delivering the final blow to Megametal, mid-boss for the Cybo stage.

Current opening scene for LVL99! From the title screen to a little cutscene and straight to gameplay. Maybe we'll add more explosions and fire and exploding undead.

It's Friday! Time to grab a beer and slide-backflip into an alien larva! We call this move the Beerflip. Gotta have a beer in your inventory first, though.

"What the FUCK is a Bubsy?" Accolade team 2017

I know zombies are cliché, but they're still fun to crush!

We included Parry mechanics to our game in hopes to get some evo-moment sweetness going on!

About Felipe Choqueone of us since 6:39 PM on 11.07.2009

Working on LVL99: AxeRage. It is an homage to our team's golden gaming age, from 80's to 90's.

The beta demo is out! Try it if you like this kind of stuff!
Titles like Megaman X, Castlevania, Street fighter, and Super Metroid, are the inspirations that drive us to create this game. It includes a B-Movie feeling as well, because we just love that stuff! Gore, fantasy sci-fi, robots, aliens, and apocalyptic scenarios blend in perfectly with our vision for an action packed adventure, so in the end LVL99 AxeRage is a reflection of all the badass brutal stuff we enjoy, and we hope you can enjoy it as well!

Demo should be available around September 2017! If you like the style, consider following or supporting us!
