I love movies. Television, too! Some of it, at least. Books are also pretty great. The point is, media has almost always been at the forefront of my brain! So it's natural that I became a gamer at the ripe, old age of 3 with the NES classic, Super Mario Bros. 3. Since then, it's been a lifelong hobby of mine; one that I don't intend on stopping anytime soon.
Aside from the gaming, I run my own independent photography business! Photography really is a passion of mine--being able to capture a moment in time for the world to see, to evoke emotions and tell a story, to share memories of days gone by--that's incredible. There's nothing quite like digging up some old pictures and suddenly becoming inundated with thoughts of the past. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
Of course I like other things too! But I tend to strongly identify myself as both a gamer and a photographer. These two things have impacted my life greatly in a number of profound ways.
Anyway, this is the place where I'll share articles and thoughts about video games and other gaming culture related things. I can't promise I'll be updating with too much regularity (aside from, perhaps, a Monthly Musing article every month) but I hope you enjoy yourself all the same! With that, I'll leave you with a few choice words that sorta sum up who I am in a nutshell:
Photographer. Writer. Apple Addict. Penn Stater. Geek. Doin' stuff since 1989!
