Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!
This week was an overall improvment from the last few. Work is busy busy and we're having trouble keeping up because we've had multiple people on our team taking time off back to back and we're short handed as is. Still, we're trying to remain positive and chip away at our work load as much as possible. I'm considering going for our open lead position since nobody else has expressed interest in it and we've been without a lead for months now. I figure if they pay me a little more, it would be easier for them to fill my spot then a lead position. We'll see what happens.
As many of you know, I've been in a pretty bummy mood lately. Yesterday's Sony conference cheered me right the fuck up. For those that know me, you know I still get all happy and hyped for E3 and all these shows. That said, I haven't walked away so happy from one in years. Sony killed it! There's so many games they showed off that I'm legit excited for. I watched it at work while I was multitasking and working a bunch of patient accounts lol. I was so happy by the end. Wolverine from the same dev that absolutely nailed Spider-Man!? I'm 100% in. Ghostwire is still a question mark in terms of gameplay but I legit love everything else they've shown off about it. It looks crazy in all the right ways. Forspoken looks insanely good. I'm really excited for that one to drop. Of course, we got God of War's new trailer too and wow. I'm really hyped for it. Plus, I had no clue they were working on a new Borderlands but this time with magic!!! I wasn't the biggest fan of BL3 but I loved this new trailer.
No big plans this weekend. I did invite the gf's little brother over so we can hangout, catch up and get some gaming in though, so we're both looking forward to that. Other then that, I'll be catching up on gaming. I just beat the 3rd divine beast in Breath of the Wild. Still loving the hell out of that game and annoyed I waited so long to actually invest time into beating it. Still playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon and it's getting better and better. Still weird as all hell haha. I also just bought the new Life is Strange. Put a little over an hour into it last night and I actually really enjoyed what I experienced so far. Hoping I like the game overall.
I forgot to add it to TGIF last week, so I will now. Two weeks ago I got a painting in that I commisioned for the gf's b-day. Our amazing pup Connor. She cried but loved it. We now have it hanging up and it always brings a smile every time I look at it.
