Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday and I'm running late!
Another long but productive week. I didn't realize how tired I was. Haven't slept in until almost 930am in quite some time. I even went to sleep earlier then I normally do. That's just adult life I guess.
Massive gaming news in Microsoft throwing around a ridiculous amount of money to pick up the troubled Actblizzard monster and with it, they now own the Call of Duty, War Craft, Overwatch and many other big gaming series and dev studios. A lot of people are up in arms about it and I get it. At the same time, I'm already over it. Exclusives will unfortunately always be a thing and if you want to play certain games, you're going to have to have certain platforms. That will not change anytime soon. Even if we were just including the Bethesda purchase, they were about to catch up in a big way to match some of Sony's and Nintendos killer exclusive lineup. Now with this purchase? It's definitely a heavy hit to the industry and Xbox's exclusive line up come 2023 and beyond is about to be very strong. Time to pick up a Series S or X if you haven't yet.
We went to go see the new Spider-Man in theatre since it was only a few other groups in the theatre and I mostly loved it. I say mostly because our experience was ruined and I almost choked out a group of teenagers. They were being annoying and loud and trying to fuck it up for us and everyone else on purpose. Gf had to get up and complain and by that time, I was so pissed throughout the movie that I just wasn't actually enjoying the actual watching of it. That said, I enjoyed what I saw and I know I'll love it once I watch it again when it finally makes its way to Disney Plus.
Gf and I are getting our boosters this Saturday. Looking forward to it but at the same time, hoping we don't feel too bad afterwards. I have to work the next day so we'll see how that goes haha. Just happy to get the booster and have some extra protection with numbers skyrocketing all over again. Stay safe people.
Alphadeus, one of the long time Dtoid members wrote me my own theme song/anthem! He did it for a bunch of people in the community for his upcoming album "Anthems" and I absolutely love it. Heavily inspired by music from Silent Hill and Celeste. Check it out!
I Legit love it so much. Check out some of his other songs he's made on his YouTube channel. If you click on the videos tab on his profile, you can see all the recent ones he's made for the community. Bones and Black Magic is another easy favorite of mine. Good stuff. He's super talented.
How was your week Dtoid? Any fun weekend plans? Watch, play or read anything new worth sharing? Let us know down in the comments and as always, happy gaming!
