REVIEW: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (PS4)

After the release of the critically acclaimed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, hopes were high and anticipation through the roof for Naughty Dog’s next and final game in the PS3 trilogy. Yet, when Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception came out it ...

REVIEW: The Last of Us: Remastered (PS4)

This month is my “Month of Uncharted” and I’ve mostly been playing through Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection; a series of remasters of the original Uncharted trilogy released on PS3 but now remade into 1080p and 60fps on PS4. Whi...

REVIEW: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS4)

When Naughty Dog released the follow-up to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune it was immediately met with critical acclaim, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves remains in the top ten lists of “Best Games…” for that generation of consoles. Consid...

REVIEW: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS4)

The original Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was released early in the PlayStation 3’s lifetime and the developer, Naughty Dog, were still getting to grips with the new and unusual hardware. I remember picking it up in 2010 along with its se...

OCT 2015: Uncharted Month (+Recap)

As you may or may not know, this year I have been trying to theme each month of videogame playing, so far covering series such as Zelda, 'Souls, Final Fantasy, Witcher, Metal Gear and now it's time for another new topic. Since most other ne...

EGX 2015: Best Games @ Show

Another year and another EGX come and gone. For those of us in the UK this is often the only videogame expo we can ever get to and it's great to have such a large and exciting show on our doorstep. Despite not having anything new released h...

REVIEW: Metal Gear Solid V (PS4)

A couple of days ago I finished playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and it’s taken me a bit of time to stop and consider what I thought of it, and where I’d place it amongst the other games in the series. You see, I&r...

RETROSPECTIVE: Metal Gear Solid (PS1/PSN)

It took me a long time to love Metal Gear Solid. Back when I purchased my first Sony PlayStation I couldn’t really appreciate the slower-paced stealthy gameplay and found the whole thing to be much too difficult for my impatient youn...

SEPT. 2015: Month of Metal Gear!

I’ve had August off from my themed gaming months of 2015, once I finished The Witcher III: Wild Hunt I’ve had a busy schedule and a trip to Japan, with the only games I’ve squeezed in the meantime being shorter affairs li...

REVIEW: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (PS4)

Lately I’ve been in the mood to play a so called “walking simulator”, something like Ether One, but I tried that game and found it to be an ugly and empty experience (I might revisit it again but it’s unlikely). Rec...

REVIEW: The Order 1886 (PS4)

After a somewhat stagnant 2014, where much of the games I was looking forward to were pushed back, 2015 has been a killer-year for videogames so far, at least for me.  Behemoths like Bloodborne and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt had been ...

REVIEW: Never Alone (PS4)

I remember being outraged, back when Never Alone (or Kisima Innitchuna) was originally released, by the review posted on Eurogamer, and not necessarily because they gave the game an unprecedented 10/10 that I just couldn’t believe fo...

RECAP: The Witcher "Month" (June/July/August 2015)

Well, it ended up running over a bit, but this post concludes my “Witcher Month” that actually started over a month ago way back in June!! Earlier today I *finally* finished playing The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, which is now an a...

REVIEW: The Witcher III: Wild Hunt (PS4)

I’m now over 80 hours (EDIT: actually 120 hours now!) into The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and, at a guess, maybe half way through although I’m not sure. When I started my ‘Witcher Month’ over June and July I honestly th...

BOOK REVIEW: Time of Contempt (The Witcher Saga)

After the relatively sedate Blood of Elves, Time of Contempt kicks the events of the Witcher Saga up a notch! This second book in the core saga is once again translated by David French, who also translated Sword of Destiny, and who I don&r...

REVIEW: Journey (PS4)

Today I took a break from playing The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, which is a contender for my game of the year so far, and played through one of my favourite games of all time; Journey, lovingly remastered on PS4. This is a straight up 1080p 6...

RETROSPECTIVE: The Witcher (PC)

When I first played CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher roleplaying game I had come straight off the back of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, an open-world behemoth that remains to this day one of the best videogames I’ve ever played. ...

REVIEW: Life is Strange (Eps.1-3) (PS4)

About n0signalone of us since 2:01 AM on 10.06.2014

Videogames have come a long way since the 8-bit and 16-bit days of old, and it is now one of the most interesting and constantly-evolving storytelling mediums. I started blogging about videogames a few years ago because I am very passionate about certain experiences I've had, which I don't think could have existed outside of our unique hobby, and I wanted to share this with other like-minded people on the internet.

I'm based in the UK and my favourite videogame of all time is probably still Shadow of the Colossus, but other more recent games such as the impeccable Dark Souls and Journey have given it a run for its money. My other interests, and things I have blogged extensively about, are board games and Japanese anime. I've got a degree in Media Communications and Film, and I'm currently a Teacher of ICT.

I post fairly regularly on my personal blog at https://n0timportant.blogspot.co.uk/, so please visit there for legacy videogame reviews and articles on anime, boardgames, etc.
