#53 Game beaten in 2023 is: the Unfinished Swan. Splatoon made me realize painting your surroundings is actually quite fun. Here you paint to make your way through various puzzles and discover a fable like story. Lovely voice acting. Wish it were longer.

#26 Movie of 2023: Talk to me. I can say this is more drama than horror or psychological horror, but whatever the case, it is done remarkably well. Social commentary since the beginning, and a good one. Created by Youtubers, less is more, alright. 5/5.

Yesterday, I finally participated in a local Just Dance tournament after being a fan of the series for so long, and came in second place. Golden trophy for that, and Platinum for overcoming my social anxiety and dancing around people.

#52 Game beaten in 2023 is: Oddworld Stranger's Wrath (Vita). Having played the first one in the series and not liking it much, this spin off was on my radar for quite some time. I loved how experimental and unique it was. 4/5 due to pacing & difficulty.

#51 Game beaten in 2023 is: Paper Mario Sticker Star. While you can easily beat this game without having to fight many enemies except for bosses, the good ideas were there, just not well executed. A simple (sadly), portable entry in the series. 3/5.

#50 Game beaten in 2023 is: Tengami. Of the few indie titles I grabbed before the store's closure. The game's nice. 1 hour of clever puzzles, soothing soundtrack, and poetry. I found out about it thanks WiiU's best user score in metacritic (new UI?) 4/5.

#49 Game beaten in 2023 is: Splatoon. This one came with the used Wii U alongside BOTW and 3D World, and I don't know why I haden't played it earlier. Could enjoy it more online but I don't like multiplayer. Short campaign, but a blast to play. 3.5/5.

#7 Game replayed in 2023. I started playing it again for my replays (to have the save data I once lost) but most importantly: to play something therapeutic. It's not only my 4th FF title, it's a game easy to get lost in with a timeless lesson. Of the best

#5 TV Show of 2023. The best so far I learnt about this thanks to YouTube recommendations. How to describe Beef? Get pissed & pay it on someone else, life will screw up. Lots of black comedy, social critique about various themes, and terrific performances

#48 Game beaten in 2023 is: Resistance Burning Skies. I played it out of my love for the series despite all the bad reception it had. I really liked it. Neat controls, low key graphics. I found greatness in its flaws. 4/5. Had a lot of fun which is cool

#4 TV Show of 2023: My Adventures with Superman. I knew nothing about this besides some posts praising it online prior to its release, and the praise was right. The writing, the comedy, the characters, it all works well. Loved the 20 seconds intro. 4.5/5

#47 Game beaten in 2023: Resistance 3. Better than 2, for sure. No bad antagonists or missions, and a finale that pays tribute to the one and only Fall of Man. Graphically impressive, and a nice conclusion. Wish it had ditched elements from 2 more. 3.5/5.

#6 Game replayed in 2023. Replays returned big time with this one. I dare say I like it more than its sequel, but that's just me. Listening to: "To the window, to the wall" isn't only great no matter the medium, but a nice way to go back in time for a bit

#24 Movie of 2023: Blue Bettle. As someone born and raised in Latin América, I can finally say that a movie actually took the time to have a decent representaon of our culture. As a DC fan, the mix of drama, action, and heart is there. Entertaining. 4/5.

#22 Movie of 2023: Elemental. Had this one been called differently, it would have made a lot more sense. Why elements when only fire & water are at play? A clever love story, yes, but a movie that had potential and was limited. 2 and a half stars out of 5

Needed to keep my mind off things for a while so I thought: "Why not by replaying Final Fantasy XII again?". And here I am, happily playing one of the best games ever made. Everyone has their own therapeutic games, and this is the one for me. Excellency.

#46 Game beaten in 2023 is: Resistance Retribution. Now this does feel a lot more like a sequel. The narrator is back. There is another plot unfolding. Characters are not just there, and the final boss was nice. Graphics and control scheme: superb. 4.5/5.

This year I resumed watching movies that are not releasing right now, but that I once thought of watching and couldn't. Napoleon Dynamite is one of those. My social circle knows that I like independent films a lot, so this was recommended and: amazing.

#21 Movie of 2023: Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse. Marvel is not my thing, but Spiderman is an exception. Had to watch the first one to remind myself of the story, and I liked that one better. However, this is animation done right. 3/5.

#45 Game beaten in 2023 is: Resistance 2. The first one ended well, and while this began decently strong, something went off after a few hours. Why treat the protagonist in such a way? Have an antagonist that doesn't cut it? 3/5 because I like the series.

#3 TV Show of 2023: Heartstopper (Season 2). This may be of the few out of the bunch love series out there that I'll ever watch, and the only corny one, at that. Heck, I even started 'Sex Education' out of boredom so yeah, more TV shows for me. 5/5.

#44 Game beaten in 2023 is: Spelunky. 1000+ deaths, a lot of swearing, and laughing out of how I managed to mess it up sometimes, I can say I did enjoy this game. However, that's enough roguelikes for me to experience, at least for some time. 3.5/5.

#43 Game beaten in 2023 is: Pikmin. It's curious how I'm afraid of RTS, and though this was no different, I just couldn't stop playing. Beautiful and scary at the same time, Nintendo's brilliant level design shows. 521 brave pikmin were lost. 4.5/5. Gem.

#19 Movie of 2023: Resident Evil Death Island. I was wrong about this for thinking it would be yet another action packed, not caring about lore movie, but it is really decent. There's this tiny depth to the characters (Jill rocks), so yeah: good time. 4/5

#42 Game beaten in 2023 is: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. I remember this game making quite the positive fuss back in 2014, and now I see why. Following what its predecessor brought about and expanding upon it: great. Wish it had been longer. 4/5.
