good to see that Reggie is still about kicking ass/taking names/making games. although he has got quite fat.

Glad to know I'm not the only guy a lot of big deadlines coming up and feeling very unprepared...

I still can't entirely believe the next President is going to be the closest thing on earth to Mettaton - i.e. a TV star turned potential murderer.

Today's mood: Famicom-era Goemon.

Scheisse double post. So sorry.

I just realized I haven't bought a Pokémon game since Pearl. Current feeling:

I sometimes think pretty much all gripes by my fellow gamers on the state/practices of the gaming industry can be summarised as "Grrrr, capitalism."

I've suddenly realized the reason Jim Sterling lives in Mississippi is because of that phrase "Thank God for Mississippi." #mindblown

Democracy 3 problems: I turn the economy round, raise productivity, crack down on crime, bring in major environmental controls without taxing anyone or angering the capitalists, have +60% approval ratings, and get assassinated 1 turn before the election.

Can I ask why one of my blogs, from earlier this year, seems to have been said to contain something "not allowed" & has vanished? :O https://www.destructoid.com/blogs/Asterion/remembering-super-mario-land-2-6-golden-coins-356128.phtml#post

I think they're talking about Notch.

I'm going to lower the standard of box art round here quite drastically.

I notice Jim Sterling has become increasingly strident since breaking with the Church of Rome (read The Escapist). The logical next step is to have six wives.

New old Dtoid is nice.

Steam sale tricked me into buying Jotun. Damn you, Gabe Newell.

FromSoftware's new IP looks very different to Souls.

Anyone with exams coming up who even thinks about procrastinating - Francis York Morgan has words for you.

Unsure if I agree with the guy but this Guardian article on a "crisis" for the FPS is worth a read. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/may/04/modern-warfare-sucks-crisis-first-person-shooter-games-call-duty

Rurouni Kenshin is one manga series which never got the videogame it deserved. A Souls-like with a romantic comedy subplot would be perfect.

Atari founder Nolan Bushnell is making mobile games now. The whole article is a pretty good read for those interested. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/apr/28/atari-co-founder-nolan-bushnell-mobile-games-make-me-want-to-throw-my-phone

Alex St John sounds like a turd, but all the bandwagoning has got a little old now. Obviously he's wrong - so why do people keep writing lengthy responses to an article which is basically like reading "2+2=5"? I guess they want some brownie points for it.

Happy 90th ma'am.
