I know time hasn't been kind on LA Noire thanks to McNamara being revealed as a literal slave driver but I can't express how much of a joy the game was for someone who grew up with noir movies. I wish we would get another AAA detective game but alas...

After years of being fascinated with the man, I finally watched my first Orson Welles movie last night. I won't say his late work on frozen pea commercials ruined Touch of Evil for me but I definitely could hear glimpses of what he would soon become.

Best movie I saw this year was Neptune Frost, an Afro-futurist cyberpunk musical about a hacker commune striking back at a world that used them for their resources. Second place is without a doubt Petrov's Flu. Literal fever dream in post-Soviet Moscow.
