IT'S PLAYOFF HOCKEY TIME!

While I was at work yesterday my wife took our son, Jace to see his first live music act for a Record Store Day celebration. Our friend Cameron's band was his first concert and he's hooked. If you're a live music fan, what was YOUR first concert?

I watched The Northman with my wife last night. We both came away quite impressed. Both of us are heavily into vikings and Nordic culture and mythology. It delivered. If you're also into these things, I'd highly recommend it. Great cinematography too!

I said I wasn't going to start collecting vinyl. But...here we are. That Record Store Day Opeth got me.

Damn, I miss these guys. Deadsy was such a strange, surreal band, and they had some of my absolute favorite live shows of my teens. Anyone even remember these guys around here? This track is still killer to me.

Well, my new Elden Ring build is solid. Destroyed Melania on the first attempt with it. Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear and Fingerprint Stone Shield are stupidly broken together. This might be the single best "easy mode" build in the game, honestly.

I can't even remember the last time I've been THIS excited for an album release. This can't get here fast enough. The infusion of classic era In Flames with Dark Tranquillity is something I've dreamed of for a LONG time.

Throwback Thursday time. Going back to a time when In Flames was a melodic death metal band, and back when I was in the best shape of my life, and a lot more optimistic about life in general. This one is still an absolute banger!

It's finally time! Vaati has started to really dig into the Elden Ring lore! I've been waiting for his videos, they always make me appreciate the FS games just THAT much more. And as expected, ER is an absolute goldmine of lore and awesome stories.

Despite kind of honestly hating Borderlands 3...I went against my initial judgement and decided to give Tiny Tina's Wonderlands a shot due to it's setting. And...I actually really like it! I am so far liking this a LOT more than BL3.

I'm thinking I may need to find a new pair of weapons in Elden Ring. I think I'm finally starting to outgrow my Claymore/Banished Knight's Greatsword combo. I'm not sure if I should just move on to colossal swords or find some new greatswords though.

Wrapped up in the absolute bliss that is Elden Ring, Destiny 2 being in the best shape it's ever been in, Final Fantasy Stranger in Paradise looking up my alley, and a TMNT retro collection on the horizon? I'm in gaming nirvana right now!

I hate posting this and accepting it as truth. But it is. Growing up I wanted to be this guy. I had tshirts with him on it, had his action figures... So sad to see this news today. Rest in peace, Scott.

TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection is like a dream come true for me. I've wanted something like this for so, so long!

I don't know if this needs to be said for anyone playing Elden Ring, but if you're considering a STR build, or started as a Vagabond, do yourself a favor and level into enough END to dual wield some greatswords. They absolutely STEAMROLL the early game.

Haven't played Elden Ring yet, but I did finish the Witch Queen story on Legendary in Destiny 2 and thought that was pretty fantastic. In about a half an hour it's Elden Ring time though. Glad I finished that beforehand!

Here's my number one gamer Pro Tip! Your backlog doesn't exist if you don't give a shit. Don't stress over it. Play what you enjoy playing when you think you'll enjoy playing it. Embrace the chaos! A discussion with a friend brought this about. More below

Replying today to comments in Neo's Destiny post...it makes me realize that despite how much I love this game, it can be REALLY hard to recommend to people. I truly do love Destiny, but it's convoluted as hell, most especially to new players.

Coming back to Destiny...I've missed a LOT. The conclusion of Season of the Chosen saw me enveloped in the love story of an android man and his old warlock lover while battling a Hive God and her forces. I think I'm all caught up before Witch Queen now!

Sifu is hard as hell and I love it for that. I wonder how long will it be before people online start bitching about it needing a difficulty slider like they did for Sekiro? With Elden Ring around the corner, whatever will they do?

Well shit. I guess it's time to play Destiny 2 again. I've missed my Hunter. I think he's missed me too. About damn time. Let's see if I can get back to that 16.0 K/D ratio like the old days.

Rainbow Six Extraction is hard as shit. But then again playing with randoms, I've so far been the ONLY one to utilize my drone and scout ahead into areas. So that's probably why it feels that way. I like the MIA idea for failures though.

I forgot to do this. Now Deep Rock Galactic would likely be number 3, but oh well. I'm surprised I played D2 more than Returnal, actually.
