i've gotten a knack lately for feeling a slight itch on my arm, rubbing it absentmindedly and smooshing a mosquito in the process. They don't see it coming cuz i do it so slowly lol. fuckers. pieces of shit. fuck mosquitos. need more bats in my hood

Always found it amusing that Ash sucks but Red is the strong, silent type.

wow. so what happened with twitch is pretty huge. twitch announced they removed the 70/30 share split from certain tiered subs (now only 50/50 forever), just before child predator story came out. to distract and bury the pedophile story, seemingly.

Sunday vibezzzzzz. Went to Japanfest earlier today, seems apt to chill to this, some beer, and 420 hits.

Being human is so goddamned weird. I can both think that humanity dying is the best bet for the Earth to save it, but i also love life. All spurned by thinking of Death Stranding and it's USA-in-ruins-core, and my adoration of that aesthetic.

All this time I thought David Harbour was Kyle Bornheimer, just older. Last thing I saw Kyle in was Party Down, and I thought he aged well for Stranger Things

hot take: i kinda like kiryu's hair, makes him look really cute, especially with the gray fox thing going on. It's a fun juxtaposition seeing the super cute haircut and then that mean ass mug below. I'm super looking forward to this.

Nice to see Marth get his own game again, after years of neglect and being ignored

So I started playing Nightmare Creatures, the psx game, and it's like a proto-bloodborne in atmosphere. But I also discovered kicking w/ Nadia is the best way to fight thru the jank. Kinda cool game overall, need to read up on it

hope yall are having a good saturday night. My family has a new member as of yesterday...a new cat. pics and story to come later.

HAPPY FRIDAYS. Here is the happiest Buckethead song he ever wrote.

ok, so this has become one of my favorite boss fights in history, right up there with the ape from Sekiro, and the guardian dog/cat statues from Elden Ring. I love a good boss fight that is difficult, fun, and surprising, ok brb still gotta beat them

if all of human civilization disappeared, and all the alien archeologists could find was a copy of this song, id say mission accomplished

In light of the Fable news, just redo/remaster 2 and instabuy from me, and if the new Fable has the dog again, I might buy that too

How's New World doing, these days? Recent Steam reviews seem to paint it a bit more favorably, but any dtoiders still playing it?

Ok, Sifu is cool. Love the combat, though I suck at it rn. Managed to beet the first level at age 36 or 38. But the environmental story telling is a real treat, especially in the first level. I didn't quite understand why it was covered in bamboo until...

That new Sifu stuff might finally push me to purchase

What was the name of that old video game expo in Japan that went by the name of Shokanshi or something like that? Nintendo Power used to cover it in their January issues back in the 90's, but it wasn't the Tokyo Game Show.

Everyone please pirate HBO max shows and share accounts with one another, let's make them PAY for their dumb bullshit. That said, I'm not requesting anyone's login details here, I just want y'all to share and pirate with yo friends and fam, fam

In the spirit of Zoey Handley's post earlier and the nfl blitz arcade thingamajig, what are yalls favorite arcadey, not serious, or tangentially related ('merican)football game? Or sports game on general? Could be violent, could be fantastical...

Any genres or types of video games that you loved at one point, only to feel indifferent about, or even dislike, later in life? FPS's, for me, used to love single player ones very much, but I havent played one, or a new one, since like Bioshock. wya HL3?

My favorite games meld music, art, and gameplay to enhance one another, elevating the product to something beyond mere "consumption"; it's an experience. Not everyone will like them, but they do gain a passionate following. Sorry if anything I said sounded pretentious, I am trying to be sincere. I love music and art, I've dabble in both for over 20 years now, so I appreciate games that put love into their art assets, animations, character design, level design, music, sound design, storytelling, and voice acting, even if the gameplay is simplistic (as long as it's fun!). These games also tend to feel nice- the control has a certain snap to it, enhanced by the visual and audio cues. This list may be biased towards my adolescence and childhood favorites from the SNES and N64/PSX days, so bare with me: you will see a lot of retro favorites. If your favorite is not on the list, it's probably because i didn't play it as a child/adolescent, or as an adult, for that matter.

In a somewhat random order:
Chrono Trigger
Super Smash Bros Melee
World of Warcraft (Classic/Vanilla)
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Dark Souls
Demon's Souls
Banjo Kazooie
Katamari Damacy
Shadows of the Colossus
Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Meat Boy
Donkey Kong Country
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Human Fall Flat
World of Horror
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
Super Mario Odyssey
Metal Slug 3
Tokyo Jungle (an odd one, for sure, but i love it so)
