I finished Dad of Boi (2018, PC) last night. What an experience! I think I enjoyed the story, atmosphere, and characters more than the minute to minute gameplay, but I still think it's a good'n. Just the last Valkyrie left. Oh and BOY does Niflheim suck.

Ok, the platform I actually use finally has a year end recap. Oh boy...

I'm currently at 83 games played in 2022 with many nearly done. My goal is 90 and I think I can get there thanks to the Army Men series. Finished Little Nightmares II today (not bad). Almost done with Frogun (meh), and GoW'18 was on sale so here we go.

Army Men: Air Tactics marks, to my knowledge, the final game built in the original engine. That's Army Men 1, 2, Toys in Space, World War, and now Air Tactics finished. Oh and yes, Air Tactics was definitely the best of the bunch, if a bit buggy. Onward!

Little Nightmares II is good, but I've never been a huge fan of this sort of trial and error, one hit and your dead, gameplay. Either way I'm trying to get the shorter games off the backlog and this will do. Oh and I started Armored Core on PS1. Neat game

Army Men: Toys in Space goes on my short list of games "finished on YouTube". I just couldn't do it. Got about a third or so through and decided to watch a longplay. I had to use cheats to finish 1, but why even bother?

The Evil Within 2 is done. While it was a much better game, it was also a much less interesting one. Glad it wrapped up well, but if they ever make a third one can we PLEASE just play as the badass, legally distinct, not Ada Wong. No more boring protags.

Well I'm impressed. The Evil Within's DLC somehow managed to reel it all in and elevate the overall game. It had its issues, but I had a much better time with it than the base game. I likely won't be doing the executioner DLC though.

Just finished The Evil Within. I'll dive into the DLC after dinner tonight. What a mess of a game. I don't even really know how to describe it beyond "spooky video game" the game. It made me yearn for anything else... maybe Psychonauts? At least it tried?

Highly recommend this little gem of a puzzle platformer. Bought it last night (along with Lunistice and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb) and I wrapped it up 100% in about 3 hours on the Deck. Excellent puzzles, great idea, and I loved the art. <3

I play the trash so you don't have to. This weekend I finished the average but not terrible Army Men: Sarge's Heroes. After that I finally began the abysmal, Army Men: Toy's in Space. And to keep the plastic melting, started and finished Air Attack. Yikes

I'm a chapter further than I got last time I tried to play it (on 5 now), but I'm more into The Evil Within this attempt. I think I was in the mood for "RE4" but didn't actually want to replay it. This one is thematically awful, but as a GAME it's legit.

Just ran ethernet through my house and my god was it worth it. WiFi BLOWS CHUNKS SLOWLY.

It was some wonderfully cosmic coincidence that the 69th game I finished this year was Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes.

I just went to buy all the stuff I need to run network through my home (plates, keystone jacks, etc) and Monoprice had it all for ~70 dollars. Great! But the cheapest shipping option was... record scratch... 250 dollars?! Am I missing something? Holy shit

Absolutely crushed the Darius franchise last night - Did 1 (Extra ver.), 2, Sagaia Ver. 1+2, Gaiden, and G-Darius HD. Fun games but Darius 1 is pretty awful. 2 was ok but the Sagaia version were better. Gaiden and G though were each amazing all-timers. <3

I just played Army Men 3D so you don't have to. Dirty Secret: I liked it.

I definitely never finished Duke 3D on N64. Pretty sure we just used cheats to beat the final boss. Well a couple decades later and I've finished the PC version + Ep 4. Do I do the 3 add-ons? And should I bother with World Tour for Ep 5? I don't own it.

Random Sunday thoughts: The Steam Deck is great, but if you aren't using it to play the original Duke Nukem, why even buy it? Grandia's 70's sitcom theme song is better than the actual game. Tim Rogers is hilarious and I WILL watch a 3 hour YouTube video.

Now that I've 100% finished Moon, there's an RPG gap I need to fill in my roster of currently running games. The candidates are: FFVIII Remastered (PC), Grandia (Saturn emulation w/ fan translation), or Trials of Mana (Switch collection version). HELP!

Finally finished moon rpg. Had a great time with it. Though I'm frustrated because I'm only missing one achievement and it's because of the fishing contest which, if you know, you know. I can't decide if I care enough to go for it (I do) but it sucks.

Slimey insisted I share the cabinet I've spent the last couple days making for my new toy, so here it is. Miter saw cabinet with shelf and enclosure for a dedicated shopvac that triggers when you use the saw. I plan to build outfeed tables too, eventually

Rollerdrome got its hooks in me. Finished it but can't stop playing (NG+ is no joke). The challenges are great to chip away at too. Rare is a game that gets me to care about high scores, combos, etc. Not usually my cup of tea but this thing is too good.

I can't fit em all. Who knew Tony Hawk with guns would fucking slay?! And what's this? The art style from Sable I loved so much in a game that doesn't run like shit?!?! BYE BYE $20. HELLO FUN. Oh and Ion Fury is fun too, if you haven't played it yet.
