All the Halo talk recently got me thinking that I never finished the MCC. I just ran through ODST and it was great! Might as well keep the momentum and do 4 today. Did I mention I love short games? Finishing something in 1-2 sessions is great.

How come no one warned me that Alien Storm was pretty meh?! Felt like Golden Axe with a different skin and also not as good. Oops... I was supposed to start Vectorman.
Snake Pass is done. What a strange idea for a 3D platformer. At first it felt like QWOP but as a snake, and by the end (100% baby) I was zipping along like nothing. It has major issues (like the awful camera), but ultimately it was a refreshing, fun time.
26 hours later - Hollow Knight finished at 104%. Saw three endings and did a lot. I enjoyed this one by the end, but the early game was a slog and I was pretty close to writing a scathing hot take. I stuck with it and came to enjoy it by the end. <3
Just played The Looker. Cute shitpost. Wasn't expecting a Calvino joke so 10/10.
Haiku, The Robot is a good time so far (a couple hours in now). The art is really great although one HUD element isn't the same resolution as the rest of the game and it drives me crazy (the heat meter). Slimey you'd like this, it's very Hollow Knight.
I finished Hylics 2 yesterday, which was more interesting as an artwork than as a game, just like the first title. And what was supposed to be a two hour romp has turned into 6+ with Belle Boomerang as I sort of regret playing it in "retro" mode. Too hard
First day off in months and I'm wasting no time. Just did the DLC for the Disney games collection - Aladdin (SNES) was great but I still think I prefer the GEN version. It was a great platformer for sure. Jungle Book (GEN) was awful though. Not my jam.
Well, I don't own the house yet but I live in it! And so far it's done the thing houses do - throw everything at me all at once. Plumbing issues are fun. To unwind I grabbed Wreckfest, which is a noun I'd use to describe a fun racing game and this house.
First major game(s) completed on the Steam Deck are all 7 Commander Keen Episodes (minus the GBC Game, which I'll get to when I get my Analogue Pocket later this year). Not the greatest games unfortunately, but they had their charm. Duke 1 and 2 next?!
I just spent three hours figuring out how to launch a DOSBox game on the Steam Deck, and now that I've got it working just right... I have no desire to play it (right now anyway). This is the way.
It's Tuesday. Blasted this classic on the drive in to work this morning.
The Steam Deck remains an absolute joy. Playing some random stuff - Finished Ep.1 of Commander Keen for some reason. A bit of Dark Souls Remastered as well. Also addicted but hate-playing Gonner. Not really enjoying it but I have to "try" which is... fun?
Oh shit that Steam Deck order confirmation just hit. Here we go! I hope it gets to my current address because I won't live there in four weeks! GULP.
