Disney Is Fucking Evil, Yo

So I'm watching cartoons, which is customary in our household because of the children but also because they're awesome (or at least used to be), and I came across an epiphany. Now I shouldn't completely oust Disney alone for this as I've s...

RPG of the Year - 1993

This year will be easy. Why? Because the only tough part about it is not highlighting certain games I know are great, but not the best. I went into this one expecting it to be as tricky as the last two years, then realized I knew exactly...

Cartoon Episodes I Want To See

Every so often I'm subjected to cartoons. Sometimes willingly, other times Clockwork Orange style. Even still, there have been some episodes I know we've all wanted from these toons and I'm going to lay out a few ideas I've had recently. ...

RPG of the Year - 1992

This time around I noticed there are more console titles and the SNES especially is getting a good start. Unfortunately, most of those titles don't belong on a top 5 list. Sure, games like Mystic Quest and Soul Blazer are fun, but out of ...

RPG of the Year - 1991

This was actually a tough year for me to choose through games. There were a lot of PC RPGs, naturally, but the problem is a lot of them, yet again, are not very easy to simply pick up and play. Most of them require thorough understanding ...

RPG of the Year - 1990

A while back, I wrote some articles on Project Wonderboy (down currently) regarding how I'll remember Final Fantasy. It was kind of a look back on the nostalgic perspective in terms of what Final Fantasy really meant to me and why I'm depr...

Suggested Improvements - Episode 1

Hello all!  I decided I would try a simple series to keep me motivated to post more often.  In this series, I'm going to tackle a few things I think are wrong, slightly dated, or just in general might work better and provide...

Wii Fat - A Love/Hate Story

I'm overweight.  It's not an easy thing to say as I used to work out like a mofo pretty much everyday.  I'm also a former high school wrestler and through most of college I walked to places and used the bus.  Ev...

Don't Be A Dick

We've all been there.  Maybe, at times, we've even been them.  You know what they (or you) gamer dicks.  Come, young padawan...there is much to discuss. Ancient History AKA The 80s Final Fight was the fir...

The Final Frontier of Game Distribution

Back in the 80s and 90s, it should be no shock to anyone that I rented games, usually two at a time, from various local rentals. It was a good way to see if I really enjoyed a game, but more than that, with all that free time on my hands, ...

Things Change

I remember a time when Squaresoft games really meant something and Enix was seen as their only rival. The track you're (hopefully) listening to right now is from a game not many Americans played back when it came out, mostly because I do...

Cheating?

Hello everybody! I've come to talk to you today about something that has always been a very strange and often subjective issue: cheating. Some people have very odd, often unfair definitions of cheating. I'm hoping that after this articl...

Guilt - Buying Decisions

I recently posted an article regarding quality vs. quantity and how I usually viewed purchasing games. However, I think I'm about ready to completely scrap my initial intentions regarding this and I'll explain why with just two titles: ...

Quality vs. Quantity

On a prefacing side note, I'd like to point out I think it's hilarious that this article is coinciding with me just having watched AVGN reviewing Action 52, though I won't be mentioning it further. A weekender title is a game that usuall...

The Evolution Of The Modern FPS And My Apathy For Them

As a disclaimer, I should note that I'm not a hater of FPSs, but I am a hater of same ol', same ol'. This is strange, too, because you'd think this wouldn't be the case with me absolutely loving old school brawlers and most JRPGs. The f...

Top 10 WORST Square/Squaresoft/Square-Enix Titles

Squaresoft, now Square-Enix, and Enix, now neutered, used to be the big two when it came to console RPGs. Oh sure, there were games like Brandish, the Lufia games, and Ys 3, but usually when either one would release a title, there was a ri...

About gunsageone of us since 2:58 PM on 04.11.2008

I've been gaming since 1987. I used to be a big Nintendo fanboy, then Square jumped the shark, so I followed. Eventually I realized neither Square nor Nintendo were the only companies out there worth following and my collection more or less speaks for itself now. I love to meet up with people on XBL, though I haven't done much online with the Wii. I've also been writing game review articles since 2004 on the old Project Wonderboy, then Morphine Nation, and now back to the new Project Wonderboy and various other sites.

I also help out in writing for a local videogame store website (VGMX). Not much else to say, really, when it comes to gaming. I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I would say I'm experienced.
