So last night I started downloading the demo for Facebreaker off XBLA, the upcoming cartoony boxing game thing from EA. Being a fan of the Punch Out! series and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, I've been keeping my eye on this since it was first announced. Last night I also started drinking. By the time the demo finishing downloading, I was pretty good and trashed.
I do definitely recall playing Facebreaker for a while, and having fun while doing so. I vaguely remember figuring out there was a basic rock-scissors-paper aspect to the gameplay, and I'm pretty sure I was beating on a roid-enhanced version of Patrick Moore at one point. However, chances are I could have been equally entertained by a string of christmas lights at the time. Since my hazy recollections of last night aren't the most reliable source and I have a few hours before I get back home to try the game again sober, I pose these questions to you Destructoid Community: Have any of you tried out the demo? What did you think of it? Are you planning on picking it up?
EDIT: Okay, so I've played it now sober, and I'm not loving it as much as I did the other night. Maybe something I'd buy if it was marked down to 20 bucks. But as was said below in the comments, might be fun multiplayer. Eh. Why the hell isn't someone making Ready 2 Rumble 3?
