Mxyzptlk Talks About The Games He's Been Playing; Nobody Cares

   0
The computer I'm using at work has had its browser security settings locked at the highest setting, which means I can't check my Gmail, view anything using Java, Flash, or ActiveX, nor can I save any images to upload to Destructoid. Therefore, I'm reusing this awesome set of pictures so this post isn't just a boring wall o' text:

I downloaded UNO and Puzzle Quest off XBLA. Fooliz was all like "Download UNO!" and I was all like "Okay, but I'm waiting to get my paycheck before I buy more MS points" and she was all like "Do it now bitch!" so I did and then I didn't see her online for two days and when I finally did her router was all "Haha n00bs, no fucking way" and I was all like "Aww man" and she was all like "Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite."

So yeah, if anyone wants to play UNO with me while she's trying to figure out why her router hates her, send me a message when I'm online. I'm also up for some multiplayer Puzzle Quest. I haven't gotten my Druid all super-uber like my DS character yet, but I'm slowly working on it. I'll stop this cblog now since I'm certain no one gives a shit.

About Mxyzptlkone of us since 11:08 AM on 11.10.2006

Aaron "Mxy" Yost was an admin for the Dtoid Forums, and hosted/produced the Radio Destructoid podcast with some of the other Dtoid community managers. He also has a dark secret that must never be revealed, lest the world be split asunder.

Pronunciation: "Miks-yez-pit-lik" Most people just pronounce it "Mixie" for short.

I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Russian national interest.

I am a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I'm not sorry for the things I've said. There's a wild man in my head.

I am two with nature.

I'm a bird who doesn't sing because I have an answer, I sing because I have a song.

I mostly come at night... Mostly.

I'm an alligator, I'm a mama-papa coming for you.

I'm the space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin' bitch for
you.

I'm like, you know... this guy.
