News in Film : MAJOR Superhero News & Spoilers

Too much to put into one title, I've got Wolverine, Deadpool, Watchmen, EPIC Dark Knight News, Spider-man 4, and even a new toys. Yeah I've been slacking it lately I know, but don't think I'm giving up now!

Watchmen (New Images)

First let's talk Watchmen! It seems that filming is already wrapped up, and Director Zach Snyder has posted a congradulatory "thanks" to his fans. You can catch it here, or just start in awe at this new pic he sent with it. Watchmen is expected in theaters March 6, 2009.

The Dark Knight (New Images & Villian)

With Health Ledgers passing, there was a great deal of sadness that the Batman studio has gone through, which explains alot of the lack of news. Well, guess we had to start searching the toy companies to finally get some answers, eh? As it turns out, Two-Face is an actual character in the film as previously speculated. At first I just thought it was a rumor, maybe Harvey Dent would become Two Face at the end of the film. Not so, if you'll direct your attention to the picture below! Dark Knight hits theaters July 18, 2008.

Wolverine (New Hero/Villian)

20th Century Fox has cast Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am in his first film role as John Wraith in X-Men: Wolverine. Wraith is a mutant who has the power to teleport, and is another test subject of the Weapon X program that created Wolverine and other mercenaries.

Also headlining mutant news, is Ryan Renolds who is playing a cameo roll as Deadpool. Let's not forget Gambit, who is being played by Taylor Kitsch. What do you think about this news, Destructoid? Good or awful? I'm leaning torwards the former.

The cast so far is as follows : Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Danny Huston (William Stryker), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) in the film opening May 1, 2009.

Spider-man 4 (Premise)

From Superhero Hype : Hi There! This is Thiago Borbolla, from Brazilian JUDAO.com.br. Our international correspondent, F�bio M. Barreto, who runs the blog S.O.S Hollywood at our site, just spoke with J.K. SIMMONS about JUNO and asked about SPIDER-MAN 4... Here's what he said:

"There's talking and talking, on the character, on the possible movie. I've received several calls. But nothing firm on that. [...] I do expect to be on the fourth movie, though. I hope so. I'm really able to do it and will be great playing that character again."

Expect a new Spider-man movie in 2009, guaranteed.

Incredible Hulk (Toys & Trailer)

A new Hulk trailer is due out in early March, possibly showing along side with either 10,000 B.C., or Doomsday on March 14th. Keep an eye out!

New action figures have been revealed as well. Their toy line reveals the Hulk character, as well as the main villian The Abomination (played by Mr. Roth, or Mr. Darth Maul), and you can expect the movie June 7, 2008. Catch their toy line!
