As you know, today is a very important day. Why? Because it's eve of Audiosurf day!!!
Some people have already
blogged about it, but just in case you still don't know, Audiosurf is an amazing rhythm/puzzle game that's also a finalist on the Independent Games Festival and to which I got addicted (thanks to BahamutZero) during a beta weekend I played.
Note: If you're just here for the contest skip to that section. People who didn't play the beta or aren't into rhythm games might not be as excited, but really, how can you not like a game that let's you play with your own music and that looks this shiny?
It can be a song people are getting tired of:
A song you haven't heard in a while:
A classic:
A TV theme:
Or the most epic song ever:
Amazing, right? The only problem I have is that, thanks to my gaming, working and school I don't really listen to a lot of music anymore, so here's where you come in.
Contest Info All you have to do is tell me 1 or 2 songs (name-artist) that you think would be awesome to play in Audiosurf and, once Audiosurf is released (tomorrow!!), I'll play them all and give a copy of Audisurf (through Steam) to the person whose recommendation I liked the most.
Since the purpose of this is getting ideas for songs I haven't played or don't plan on playing already, the only ones NOT accepted are:
A) Songs from Guitar Hero(1,2,3, 80s) or Rock Band.
B) JSRF, already played those.
C) Nullsleep, Bitshifter or Anamanaguchi.
D) Daft Punk.
E) Radiohead.
I'm posting this contest now and not tomorrow because it will give you time to think of some songs and maybe listen to some happy music and not be depressed and lonely all day.
Also, because I want the winner to have the game as soon as possible, the deadline for song submissions is tomorrow Friday the 15th at 10 PM PST, depending on the number of entries I'll announce the winner either Saturday or Sunday.
