Phils Game/Pop Music Similarities #248 - Wily Salsa

Featuring Mega Man 4 and Salsa.

Greetings fellow game music lovers,

Mega Man series continues with Mega Man 4 (1991). And we dive right near the endgame: The first Wily stage that starts with an easily recognizable sequence that haunts you for most of the rest of the game:

There is a song from the seventies by the well known Salsa/Caribbean band "The Latin Brothers" with a pretty similar curvature to the beginning of the song:

The Latin Brothers - "Antioquenita" (1976):

There is also a less good match by a Calypsonian artist from the 80s:

Shadow - "Give Me Pressure" (1989):

I must say that both of these again give off the vibe of old blues sequences, so we might hear something from this direction.
