Featuring Dr. Mario and mostly caribbean music.
Greetings fellow game music lovers,
for the end of summer I chose a snippet from a game that puts a heavy emphasis on chilling: Dr. Mario, our favourite Mario based puzzle game from 1990. Despite being composed by Hirokazu Tanaka it seems to keep up the general principle of caribbean based Mario music just like Super Mario Land. The followin snippet is our todays focus of interest:
We start out with a song by japanese Jazz flutist Tamami Yokake and her song ポカポカ which already has a pretty reminiscent snippet:
