Featuring Kid Icarus and more latin music.
Greetings fellow game music lovers,
as promised, we continue this week with Kid Icarus (1986) and since we had the Underworld last week it is fittingly followed by Angel land. The more we dig through the soundtrack, the more the latin influences in the soundtrack become apparent. Here we go:
Let's start with the part at 0:03:
Luiz Bonfa - Blue Madrid (1959):
Quinteto Violado - Asa Branca (1972):
A small oddball: The Monochrome Set - Ici Les Enfants (1980):
I skip the Dixie-part because we already talked about two weeks ago.
For the part at 0:28 I can offer a piano piece by Ernesto Lecuona from 1954 "Malaguena":
Next week: Heaven.
Phil out.
