Phils Game/Pop Music Similarities #216 - Street Rock Canon

Greetings fellow game music lovers,
as promised, here is another entry from Street Fighter 2 (1992). Another theme that so far has received relatively little attention: The ending theme. It features a cheerful sequence where you have the feeling that comparable things have been used in multiple contextes and multiple genres over a very long time:
I think that the song sounds like a rockified version of Pachebels Canon. In order to make my point, I present you rockified versions of Pachebels Canon:
