TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

Another long week but it's all starting to seem worth it. You know how work has been crazy and my team has been short staffed for what seems like forever now? Well we've been super behind because of it and just this week, we're officially caught the fuck up! It's been stressful and it's been a lot of hard work but we did it so me and the team are super happy about that. Now we just need to maintain it...Whiiich will be difficult since one of my team members is taking maternity leave mid March and another is retiring at the end of this month. Sooo we were already short handed, now we're going to be very short handed. So the victory won't last to long but oh well, we're going to enjoy it while it last!

My car is in the shop to fix our slightly damaged bumber due to an argument we got in with a curb and they hooked me up with a damn Dodge Charger as my rental car. It's pretty damn nice. Big and bulky like a tank but I swear it feels tiny on the inside. It was still fun to drive that to work yesterday and see how it rides.

Cyberpunk 2077 next gen update is finally here! We've waited like a full year and a few months but it's here! lol I decided to just start a new game since I haven't played my old save file it quite awhile. Wanted to get refreshed on the story and all that. It's still not perfect, but I will say all the patches since then and this new next gen update has definitely made the game much more enjoyable. It's very noticeable how much better the game performs and once again, I'm impressed with how they built Night City as a whole. Just walking around the city and seeing what they came up with is actually really impressive when you look past all the other things they messed up at launch. Enjoying my time with it and I plan on finishing it again and then returning to it again probably next year to play as a new character with a new beginning once they release an expansion or two.

The gf is sick, so we're currently keeping our distance a bit so I don't get sick too. Not Covid, just a cold but I still can't afford to get sick because of work and I work in a small office close to my team. Just trying to take care of her and looking forward to her feeling better soon. So no big plans this weekend. Just relax, take care of the gf and get some gaming in.
