Phils Game/Pop Music Similarities #201 -Tail's Up

Featuring Final Fantasy 7 and Heavy Metal.

Greetings fellow game music lovers,

after last weeks Final Fantasy 8, let's take a step back for the predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 (1997). As every good RPG, occasionally the player has to be informed that they should prepare to get their act together. FF7 has this in the form of the boss battle song AKA "Fight On!". It first appears on the bombing mission during a battle against a mechanic scorpion who is really sensitive about its tail:

Traditionally, this song is associated with the 1980 song "Jailbait" by Motörhead. And if this was all, then this entry would run under the classic label:

However: There is also a song by the japanese Heavy Metal Band "Action!" from 1986 with the title "M-93R" whose samples I think fit the FF7 one slightly better:
