Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!
My week wasn't bad. Pretty good at work actually. We're finally not behind on work by a few days and are actually working current accounts. That's big and good news with how crazy busy our hospital is. As a result, the overall mood just seems better in my office and I'll take it. Sometimes a few of my coworkers can get really negative really fast so I'll enjoy this while it last.
Yesterday kinda sucked a bit though. Normally it takes me a good 40-45 minutes to get home from work. Long drive and all that. Yesterday, it took me an hour and 40 minutes. Traffic was waaaay backed up and I honestly have no idea why. I didn't see an accident. Tons of traffic was coming from the opposite direction, so I'm guessing there was a big event that I wasn't aware of? Not sure. What made it suck even more is that for the last hour of the long stop and go drive, it started raining really hard and got very windy. Arizona monsoon weather can get kinda brutal. The last 20 minutes of my trip wasn't stop and go traffic but we had to go really slow because of how hard the rain was coming down. Plus with the high wind, it made it difficult to see as it was blowing dirt all over the place. There's a few areas on that long road that is in danger of flooding so I was hoping with how long we were stuck in traffic, I wasn't about to get stuck on the side of the road lol Luckily, I made it home safely, just very late. Had the gf all worried. The drive sucked but I made it home, that's all that matters.
It was raining mildly right by my house. Funny cause just a mile before my street, it was coming down crazy hard. Thunder was booming and rattling my house all night long though, so we had to comfort the pets a bit. I normally love the rain. Just don't like driving in it when it's out to get me.
No big plans this weekend. Put together some chairs that we bought for our kitchen. Get some exercise in, watch my fights and enjoy my days off with the gf and our fur babies. I beat Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and I actually really enjoyed it. Kinda annoyed I waited so long to play it. The one thing I love about Naughty Dog games is how much they make me love their characters. I love their character development and watching them bond over the time. They really nail that part of their writing process.
