Apex Legends: 2021 Review

When Apex Legends was unexpectedly announced back in 2019, this created a large amount of excitement. This created a new perspective on Battle Royale games, which a new and unique pinging system, so voice chat is not necessary to play, making your character (or legend) speak to give commands, saying where to go, if you have a weapon that you would like to give to a teammate, or requesting different materials. Now on its 8th season, the game has added several legends, short animations called "Stories from the outlands" and battle passes, which give you rewards the higher you go.

GAMEPLAY:                                                                                                                                                             Apex has three maps, the default map, Kings Canyon, the beautiful and high tech Olympus and Worlds End, a map similar to kings canyon, except there is a tower with ice surrounding it. The gameplay is normal loot-and-shoot, but with a unique "Slide" movement, this is useful to get away from fights by moving faster when you do not have a weapon. In season 8, we had a mode in which "ring flares" would come on the map, which can sometimes be in the zone, where you are safe from the storm getting to you, but ring flares always contain good loot, so we were given heat shields to protect ourselves from the flare for a limited time.

PERFORMANCE:                                                                                                                                                       Apex is an absolutely stunning game, graphically and through gameplay. Frame drops are very uncommon, which is imperative when in high-paced fights, where you need to be hasty.

VERDICT:                                                                                                                                                            With Season 8 soon coming to an end, all that can be brought in is excitement. with one new legend coming every season, it is almost impossible to get bored with this game.
