TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

This has been a long and difficult week for the gf and I. If you didn't catch my midweek update, our old pup Connor was diagnosed with cancer. Next steps include an ultrasound and x-rays to see if the cancer has spread or not. Then we're meeting with a cancer specialist to go over options. We're not sure we want to put him through the stress of surgery at his age. So at the moment, we're looking to make his life as comfortable and painless as possible until it's time to say goodbye. We love him so damn much so he's always been spoiled. He's just going to get spoiled a whole lot more now.

Really hope we have a decent amount of time left with him. Part of the reason we wanted to buy a house was for him and the little pup so they can have a bigger backyard to enjoy. Please keep Connor in your thoughts. He really is a special boy and a big part of our family.

No big plans this weekend. Spend time with the family. Spoil the pup. Maybe go to the dog park or take them on an easy hike. We're on season 7 of Game of Thrones now and we're still enjoying the hell out of it. Looking forward to wrapping the series up and poking fun at season 8. We also just finished watching Iron Man 2 in our rewatching the MCU journey. Still love the hell out of these movies.

I beat The Medium and I mostly liked it. Gameplay wise, it's nothing special and you're never really in danger, even when you're supposed to feel like you are. The game isn't scary at all, which is ok. It just feels really creepy throughout and does a good job with the ideas it has going for it. Visually, I found it very impressive and the story was interesting overall even if I didn't like it at parts.

I also just beat Hitman 3 and while I will always be down for more Hitman as I absolutely love the series, I found that I didn't enjoy this entry more then the previous 2. The night club level was boring to me and I didn't like the last level at all. Felt like a really weak finale when compared to what the rest of the series has to offer. Overall, the game is still incredibly fun and certain levels like Dubai and Chongqing. I especailly loved Chongqing, China as the visuals and level design were seriously impressive.
