TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

This week flew by and I'm pretty damn happy about it. The hype from finally getting the full reveals of both next gen consoles is peaked. I'm sold and will be buying both, just not both at launch. Will be pre-ordering the Series X along with AC Valhalla, even though I'll probably be to busy with Cyberpunk around this time to give Valhalla a go. It can wait until after. The PS5 I'm going to go ahead and let everyone else lose their minds over it. I'm very excited for it and it WILL BE MINE buuuut I'm hoping to pick it up on a decent bundle deal with Spider-Man or Demons Souls a little later down the line. I've always preferred playing games on Xbox and have always used my PS4 to play exclusives. Right now, with just two exclusives I want at launch, the PS5 for me can wait. If it was launching with FF16, that would be an completely different story.

Last night, we watched the new Child's Play movie that recently came out lol We actually enjoyed it more then we thought we were going to. It had some decent moments but overall...not very good lol The redesign for Chucky (Why would they do this!?) is almost as bad as the first design they showed off for the Sonic movie. Not quite as terrifying as that monstrosity, but still a pretty big wtf were they thinking fuck up. I mean, look at this ugly mug!

Got a follow up appointment at the drs office today just to make sure I'm all good and what not. Other then that, I'll be playing Ni No Kuni 2 until Amazon kicks my door down with the Super Mario collection. Then I'll be very happily revisiting Super Mario 64 before I play the two others for the very first time. EXCITED! I love replaying old gems and I haven't touched Super Mario 64 since I was a kid due to our N64 crapping out on us. Othe then that, I'll be playing with the dogs until the gf gets home later so we can spend some time together.

Tomorrow I'm on call annnnnnd they better not call my ass in lol It's only for 4 hours but still. I'm very excited for the UFC event tomorrow. If you're one of the lucky many that got ESPN+ with your Disney/Hulu deal and you like watching fights, give this one a watch. It's the best damn free card in a long time. The main card has me HYPED. Other then getting my MMA fix in, more gaming, more spending time with the gf and our fur babies.
