Hello everyone and welcome to the 27th installment of 31 days. Day 26 was posted, but on our discord (which you should visit by clicking the discord icon at the top of the site). If the reason escapes you, D-toid was down almost all day on the 26th. Anyway, the song for the 27th installment is:
LIT – Classroom 101
The Wii was really something. With sales like that you’re bound to attract attention and some of that translated into great Indies coming to the Wii Shop channel. One of these fantastic games was a horror game known as LIT.
LIT in terms of atmosphere and presence is pretty straight forward. Solve puzzles and combat the darkness that has swallowed your school with light. Not a terrifying game but a game that does capture that horror feel without being ultra-cheesy. The music is also fitting as well and by itself can sound pretty creepy.
For what it is LIT is an above average game. It has some design flaws in that some puzzles seem to be more trial and error rather than actual puzzle work. To me a good puzzle doesn’t rely on any trial and error. A good puzzle provides you with the tools you need to solve it provided you put in the effort. Thankfully this isn’t the norm in LIT and for the most part the puzzle work is done well.
With the Wii Shop winding down for closure I felt this would be a good tune to share. In the midst of all the Mario Fever going around I know most people won’t have much of a chance to check this one out. There still is time though, and the game won’t be completely lost as it has a port on the Play store. Sadly it is inferior to the Wiiware version and chock full of ads. If you want to play this unhindered I highly recommend the Wiiware version.
while you're at it, why not use this as a reason to revisit your Wii-u, that is if super mario odyssey hasn't consumed you yet
