LONG BLOG

New Years Evil: Villains for Days

   0

Welcome nerds and geeks, this lovely installment of Malikas' blogs is brought to you in part by me, and the lovely community. I saw the bloggers wanted for this month and just couldn't help myself. I love a good villain. I have often found myself more in love with some villains then I do with the main characters. (That is when you know you have written a good villain).

Now I know most of you know by now that I am a very, very avid reader. Yes, don't worry I play video games and weeb out to anime. (I am looking at all of you weebs, and judging). Just kidding guys, I love you all very much

Now onto to the list....starting with #5

Count Olaf - The Series of Unforunate Events by Lemony Snicket

Count Olaf is probably the worst at actually completing his quest of getting the Baudelaire Fortune. He is never caught by the authorities but he can never seem to see a plan completed. But I don't love him for his success, I love him for the sheer fact that he continues to keep trying no matter how many times his plans are foiled. He is smelly, and awkward. He is just all around weird. And I just love that. He is not your cookie cutter villain, he has so many secrets and plans, he has a weird troupe that helps him with his plans. He is just a misfit trying to get a fortune. I hope you all at least give these books a chance, and if not give the new Netflix original series a chance, to show you this great misfit of a villain.

Capricorn - Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

Sorry guys I couldn't find a picture that I liked of Capricorn. Most of you probably have no idea what this book is or where it even came from. Most people I talk to have never even heard of it, I am one of very few fans of this book. I have utterly fallen in love with it though. The storyline, the characters, the twists and turns. It has everything. Now why do I love Capricorn so much, well it is simple, I have always wanted a book character to come to our world and try to take over. Which is exactly what this book is about. The main girl, Meggie, has the same power as her mother, which is where, when she reads books aloud they come to life in our world. So Capricorn gets brought to our world and tries to take over. But he is in the modern world trying to figure things out. Yes he does get powerful and almost succeeds in his mission. The only thing that has always frustrated me with this villain is his name is Capricorn, which is my Zodiac Sign, so growing up I always hated my sign cause I thought it meant I was evil.

Doroles Umbridge - Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

I hope most of you know that she is probably the most hated of all villains in the Harry Potter Series, probably moreso than He who must not be named. She is the epitome of all evil. She does things, evil unspeakable things just for the sake of doing it. I read somewhere that he who must not be named can't do a patronus because nothing makes him happy, and the way to make a patronus is thinking of something that makes you immensely happy. Umbridge can and has often made a patronus. How? You may ask can she do that? I believe it is because doing, and being evil makes her happy. Which is way more terrifying than he who must not be namedHe was doing his villainous deeds to become immortal, she was doing it because that is what made her heart tickled pink.

#2

The Witch - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

Aw The Witch. The one who closely respresents Satan and all of his temptations. Yes reward yourself now, have all that you want and more right her and right now. But come to find out that all she offers is not really what you wanted or hoped for. I love this story and the close ties it has with God/Satan. It is very well written and gives a good moral. You can not always do what makes you feel good, you must fight the hard path and go the road less travelled.

And the one you have all been waiting for.........#1

Jess - Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

Ok, I know I know, Jess is not really a villain. Buuuuut hear me out......in this book Jess makes a lot of choices and has to overcome a lot of things in his young life. He shows you that sometimes you can be your biggest villain against yourself. That sometimes you are the one stopping yourself from moving on in life, or reaching your goals and dreams. That it is ok to rely on your friends and family. This isn't a battle and journey you fight alone, you get comrades and allies to help you along the way and even if you lose one then it is ok to move on and love again. You are and always will be the biggest thing standing in your OWN way. So remember to step aside and take the chances. Love hard and laugh always. Life can always big you down, but it is your choice to stand back up and move on. Don't be like Jess and stand in your own way.

I hoped you liked my choices and hopefully learned something new! Tell me your favorite book, movie or game villain!

- Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone. - Madoka Magica

About Yue chanone of us since 12:03 PM on 04.17.2016

A complete and total reading nerd. I love most video games. I am not a big fan of first person shooters though. Just started getting into Anime. Madoka Magica has probably been my favorite I have watched thus far. I am starting to get obsessed.

Just remember I have the best butts to share.

I was finally given a card and I absolutely love it. As you will learn with me I am very lewd and love all things lewd. So this card suites me well.

So that is me, catgirl, magic using, music loving girl.

Just beat Pokemon Ultra Sun, I adored it. Started playing Horizon Zero Dawn again, and I will probably get the DLC for it once I beat the game.

Also for those who are interested I have been reading a lot more lately. I am currently looking into getting a Kindle Paperwhite, to satisfy my reading needs.
