Heading to PC next week is XCOM 2, the much-anticipated sequel to 2012's turn-based tactical strategy game. If you haven't tried Enemy Unknown yet, Humble Bundle has the game in its latest Firaxis bundle in the pay-what-you-want tier. The best deal we've spotted thus far for XCOM 2 may have just arrived earlier today via Green Man Gaming.
While the retailer has noted a 25 percent discount to deal sites like us, we've found an even better 27 percent off coupon for that extra saving we know you've been craving. After all, the 2 percent difference is a notable $1.19 -- basically the price of a burger at the local fast food value menu.
Update: Price went up slightly. Meh.
Grabbing the game at GMG automatically enters you into a contest for a chance to attend an exclusive pre-release event (eh?) and the resistance warrior DLC pack (meh?) -- your typical pre-order in-game bonus assortment of additional outfits, weapons, and gears.
The pricier Deluxe Edition (which is now only $54 after discount) comes bundled with the XCOM 2 Reinforcement Pack (the Season Pass with a list price of $19.99) and the digital soundtrack.
While we're big fans of the rebooted series (even if there were some balance issues), we think we'll wait for some more early reviews before we bite the bullet. No word on when the 27 perfect off code will expire, but we suspect it'll end towards the end of the week.
