So as much as I enjoy blogging, one thing that will cause me to get away from getting things accomplished is watching a stream or two on Twitch. I will be the first to admit that I'm a huge addict. My passion & excitement for this website came about a year or so ago. It was nowhere close to where it is now.
I was initially watching streams there for Call of Duty: Ghosts. It was the younger life of the game, since it had just released about a week or so before I started to see the game. I was going to the competitor's site (MLG). To this day, I watch streams on the other site, but I'm usually on Twitch very frequently. I think that the gaming community has changed in many ways than we realize sometimes. I would catch a lot of the competitive tournaments with teams like Optic Gaming, Faze, & Envy to name a few.
I was initially able to watch a few streams for Call of Duty, which introduced me to other games I either owned or would possibly own as time went along. One game that I never knew was so serious was League of Legends. I think their community is what makes a chat room just go crazy for no apparent reason. Nonetheless, it was a nice place to be & meet other people who had a passion for gaming the way I did.
By being a part of this gaming community, I was able to network & follow people on Twitter, YouTube, & even Twitch who are new & upcoming streamers. Because of this, that's what makes me VERY thankful for streaming & the excitement that comes with watching various streamers. When I saw that both Halo & Gears of War 3 (of course, as I say that, someone is streaming Gears of War 3 that I follow right now) had a pulse in the gaming community (via Twitch), that was confirmation that Twitch would become home for me. I think that I watch more streams than I do actual TV. I can also thank Chromecast for that, because I will watch streams I follow from my phone on the TV. So, that's what makes me give a lot of thanks to gaming community along with the Twitch community, because they're BOTH growing & expanding by the day.
I hope everyone has enjoyed reading this blog. It's a little different for me, but something to compose a few things I'm personally thankful for. Until next time, this is BT signing out. Take care.
