The music is genius in itself, harmoniously depicting the 8-bit atmosphere the graphic novels and other media incorporate in the story.
Anamanaguchi, the American chiptune indie-rock composers of these masterpieces, so easily reminded all of us how wonderful the video game music of yesterday used to be by adding alternative instruments to the NES style sounds, thus creating just....video game music ecstasy.
Makin' Movies may be my favorite track off the entire album, yet I'd be the first to say that there are many contenders for that pedestal of glory from this album.
Anamanguchi's utilization of bass guitar in tandem with the chiptune synths and drum kits are perfectly balanced throughout the entire soundtrack, and create a very distinct sound in which they can be identified by.
To my knowledge, there haven't been any remixes of this song. I would love to hear some good mixes of any of the
"Anamanaguchi-Awesomeness", so I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled!
If you haven't picked up this game for either the PlayStation or the Xbox, I highly recommend doing so, if for nothing else, so that you can experience the wonderful music that flows so effortlessly with the game play. But be warned, this song will definitely get stuck in your head; not that you'll catch me complaining. ;)
