When debating the superiority of the eastern game scene and that of the west, there's one thing to keep in mind, regardless of any declines or gains either side has made over recent years. When it comes down to it, without the east, we wouldn't
have video game developers to argue about, on either side of the Pacific.
It's clear. The Doobie Brothers inadvertantly got it spot on, when it comes to the video game industry as a whole, and their fans, whether they realize it or not: They just keep on looking to the East.

know Sega, or Standard Games which would
become Sega, was started in Honolulu and
moved to Japan, but it was in Japanese hands by the time things got real around the time of the Master System. Shush.
** - WeaponLord, Primal Rage, Killer Instinct, Clay Fighter, Eternal Champions, Time Killers, Ballz 3D, Way Of The Warrior, and Pit Fighter are the only ones coming to me without looking for them. Tattoo Assassins doesn't count since a) it was never released and b) I didn't know about it until Jim Sterling posted something about it.
