Our Charity Needs a Better Model
Most people who play games on a regular basis likely have disposable income. It is imperative to look beyond ourselves, to have a global perspective, and see there is true suffering in the world that each of us can do something about. As a Christian I believe I am called and compelled to be giving my time, sweat, tears, care, and money to my neighbor (who is anyone in need). Those of differing faith or no faith at all have their own reasons for helping others. When it comes to giving aid to those hit by hurricanes, tsunamis, disease, war, etc. it is not the time to spar over our ideological differences, but to unite around the common cause.
