PS3 Fight Club - Let's talk lag and prizes
There are 2.5 days left to register for the SSFIV Ranbat. As stated previously, the brackets will be up the morning of May 23. All round 1 games must be completed and results reported to me by May 29.
Prizes!
After some thought, I've decided that prizes will be awarded to the Season 1 first, second and third place winners. These are undecided but will be amazingly AWESOME! To be clear, there are no prizes for individual ranbats. The prizes will be for the entire ranbat season and will be awarded at the end of the season.
Let's talk lag
Lag is a reality for online fighters and there's no way around it. I ask that all players do everything in their power to minimize lag. This includes stopping downloads/torrents and playing games in 2 player rooms without chat. I have tried to come up with rules for lag but there's no real way to do that so we'll just have to deal with it. If you have a laggy game, try switching hosts. If that doesn't work, you'll have to either suck it up or work out a compromise with the other player. In extreme cases, contact me and I'll see if I can help.

Old-school gamer. I started gaming with the Atari 2600. I became an addict with the arcade release of Street Fighter II at my college. The SNES release pushed me into buying that system and a lame arcade stick. I haven't looked back since then. I still consider the 16-bit to be the Golden Age of gaming. The current generation is keeping me pretty happy, especially with the fighting game renaissance that's happening lately. And, yes, I'm old.
