God of War: Chains of Olympus Review (PSP)

This game is actually quite fun. The PSP controls are well done. I think you're a little too strong in the beginning, but that's not a HUGE deal considering the fact that it takes a couple levels to get used to the controls. The game is quite gory, but then again, God of War games are all gory. I was NOT, however, expecting there to be some nudity in the game. That part completely caught me by surprise.

This game has amazing graphics for it being on a portable gaming system. The movements are very fluid. Attacks are strong enough to hurt minions a lot, but not strong enough to make it too easy. During the first couple levels, you can run around and click the "Grab" button, and kill a guy in a single hit. This same move, however, isn't as strong in the later levels. It's more meant as a finishing move, or to get the guys away from you. You find yourself surrounded on more than 1 occasion, but these fight sequences aren't hard enough to where you want to throw your PSP across the room. But it is hard enough to where you want to keep playing it over and over again until you beat it.

The game seems a bit short though. Granted, I haven't beaten the game, but the game seemed to be wrapping up the 3-4 hours I was playing it (not saying that there's not a twist to the story to make it extend longer).

All in all, I'd say that it's definitely a game to get. It's one of the better adventure games done on the PSP. Not to mention that it's decently cheap to pick up.

I absolutely love Sonic the Hedgehog games. I own an Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, N64, Game Boy Advance, SEGA Dreamcast, and SEGA Genesis. I'm not sure what else you want to know. Oh, and this is for Chad Concelmo, I got to swim with dolphins before you. :P

Playing now:

Portal 2 Co-Op (PS3 and PC)
Halo: Reach (Xbox 360)
Killzone 3 (PS3)
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker (GameCube)
Final Fantasy VII: Crysis Core (PSP)
Final Fantasy VII (PS1 on the PSP)

Wii Friend Codes:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: 3351-3952-6462
Guitar Hero World Tour: 356658218218

Rating System Legend (based off of a 5 point rating system):

Robotnik - 1
Silver - 2
Knuckles - 3
Sonic - 4
Shadow - 5

Adding "Super" in front of the name makes it a half point higher. Ex. "Super Sonic" = 4.5
