European VC Update: Talk About Your Steaming Heaps Edition

Watching BBC News 24 and thinking about how easy it would be to break David Cameron's jaw. It takes my mind of this week's steaming heap of a Virtual Console update.

Game 1 - Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition
Mega Drive - 800 Points

Please don't reset your internet, Street Fighter 2 has reared its head on the VC for a 4th time. You almost certainly have one of the SNES Street Fighter 2 versions by now, whether its Turbo or New Challengers (if you're a Cammy loving freak) so this Mega Drive version shouldn't be bothering your wallet and really has no reason to be here.

Game 2 - Space Harrier
Master System - 500 Points

If you have fond memories of Space Harrier as a child, don't buy it today. The horrible truth is that Space Harrier is, and has always been, cack.

Game 3 - Mayhem in Monsterland
Commodore 64 - 500 Points

This game looks incredible by C64 standards quite frankly, however if its the standard issue platformer it appears to be I wouldn't be thinking about it for long. There are a lot of platformers on the Virtual Console.

What the fuck Nintendo? Secret of Mana hits the US and we get these 3? Unacceptable really, we'd better get one of the Art Style games next week on WiiWare to make up for it.
